Winnings Distribution System
Regarding the distributed winnings
Each draw has 800,000 participating lottery tickets, regardless of the number of tickets that were purchased by the players. The game returns to the players at least 60% of the total revenue generated, from all draws conducted in the span of a fiscal year.
The distributed winnings come from the fixed winnings, the triple ticket, and the additional funding.
Fixed Winnings
Since the 15th draw of 2022, forty thousand one hundred and forty (40.140) tickets in each series, win the following :

- The 1st ticket (grand ticket) is determined by the five-digit number resulting from the draw.
- The next 119 tickets are automatically generated based on the 1st ticket of the draw, from the LAIKO (Popular) LOTTERY special number allocation book.
- The following 20 tickets are also generated automatically from the LAIKO (Popular) LOTTERY special number allocation book, according to the 1st ticket of the previous 119 tickets.
- The final 40,000 winning tickets are those with the same last digit (odd or even) as the 1st ticket.
- In case of multiple wins, only the highest win is awarded.
Triple Ticket
The triple ticket consists of three tickets (Α', Β’ and Γ’) that are connected to each other. Ticket A’ is the result of a draw of a five-digit number and a series.
The other two tickets are determined as follows:
- Ticket Β’ is the series drawn plus 1.
- Ticket Γ’ is the series drawn minus 1.
If the last series is drawn, Ticket Β' will be the first series.
If the first series is drawn, Ticket Γ' will be the last series.
The triple ticket is funded by 5% of the gross winnings from each draw. Winnings are rounded down to the nearest hundred (i.e., divided by 100).
Grand Ticket
The grand ticket draw is determined by drawing one of the ticket (fifths) of the triple Α' ticket, winning 80% of the amount allocated to ticket Α’.
Additional Funding
If there is no JACKPOT, the grand ticket drawn receives additional winnings through an extra draw.
After the main lottery draw, a two-digit number is drawn to determine the additional funding for the grand ticket. If this number matches the last two digits of the 1st ticket, then the winnings for the grand ticket are increased by €1,000,000.
Grant
HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. reserves the right to grant fixed winnings, the triple ticket, and/or additional funding, under the condition that this is announced to the public before the distribution of tickets for the specific draw begins.
Transferring amounts in case of a JACKPOT
If one, two, or all the tickets in a triple ticket are drawn on unsold tickets, then the amount collected up to that draw (excluding any grants) is transferred to the next draw and added to the total for the triple ticket.
New Printed Format
What is it?
The new printed format of LAIKO LOTTERY comes to offer players the possibility to partially configure the number of their choice, while ensuring better distribution by printing the ticket directly in HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. collaborating points, on thermal paper.
The printed tickets will properly participate in each LAIKO LOTTERY draw by bringing on its body all the necessary details of the draw.
The LAIKO LOTTERY tickets that will be available in this format are from the pool of the unprinted lottery tickets, which are included in the file LAIKO NUMBERS (that are available in the new printed format).
Distribution of the Printed Format
The tickets will be available only in set of five, i.e., each ticket worth €10 and it is consisted of five tickets worth €2 each, exactly as per current offering.
The available choices are the following:
- Select a specific last digit (0-9)
- Select a specific thousand (0-80)
- Select a combination of specific thousand (0-80) & last digit (0-9)
- Random number
- Random odd number
- Random even number
- All odd last digits (5 tickets) – offered only in Opap Stores
- All even last digits (5 tickets) – offered only in Opap Stores
- Triplet (3 tickets) – offered only in Opap Stores
- Triplet (3 tickets) & last digit (0-9) – offered only in Opap Stores
- Random number in all series (10 tickets) – offered only in Opap Stores
Note: In OPAP stores, you can also purchase the ticket in the new printed format (receipt) by selecting a specific thousand and last digit. Additionally, at HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A.’s collaborating points (mini markets, kiosks, and gas stations), the ticket is only available in the new printed format.

Winnings up to €100
Gross winnings, prior tax application, up to €100 per ticket, may be paid by any HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. point of sale or any street vendor, without displaying official documentation.
Winnings between €100.01 and €1,999.99
Gross winnings, prior tax application, between €100.01 and €999.99 per ticket may be paid by any OPAP S.A. retailer, operating as a HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. point of sale.
For winnings between €1,000 and €1,999.99 per ticket, if the winner wishes to receive a profit certificate for tax purposes, the winnings are paid by a bank cooperating with HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A., following the issuance of a payment order by any OPAP S.A. retailer, operating as a HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. point of sale.
Winnings between €2,000 and €10,000
Gross winnings, prior tax application, between €2,000 and €10,000 per ticket are paid by a bank cooperating with HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A., following the issuance of a payment order by any OPAP S.A. retailer, operating as a HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. point of sale.
Winnings between €10,000.01€ and €49,999.99
Gross winnings, prior tax application, between €10,000.01 and €49,000.99 per ticket are paid by a bank cooperating with HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A., following the issuance of a payment order by HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. offices at Athens or Thessaloniki.
Winnings over €50,000
Gross winnings, prior tax application, over €50,000 per ticket are paid by a bank cooperating with HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A., following the issuance of a payment order by HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. at Athens.
For the better service of the winners, they should first contact the telephone Centre of HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. at 800-800-5000 (from a landline phone without any charges) or at 2105798500 (from a mobile phone) in order to get informed on the process.
Redemption Identification (for the printed format)
The redemption identification process concerns the new printed format of LAIKO LOTTERY ticket printed directly in the collaborating HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A. points of sale, on thermal paper.
In cases that might be necessary the identification process for cashing out winnings will be activated (i.e., loss, theft, etc.), if the winning amount is from €1,000 or more, and the player will be required to submit a written confirmation from the telecommunications provider that legitimate use of the mobile phone number registered when the ticket purchase has taken place.
Note: At HELLENIC LOTTERIESS.A.’s collaborating points (mini market, kiosks and gas stations), the ticket is available only in the new printed format.
