Winnings Distribution System

After each draw day, based on its results and on the Winnings Distribution System, a table of winnings is drafted.
The table of winnings is available in the Draws & Results section and at all points of sale of ETHNIKO (National) LOTTERY and it includes a detailed list of all winnings of the draw day, of all available winnings categories. 

The winnings include:

  • The grand ticket of €1,000,000, drawn on the last day of E’ draw
  • The first tickets of each draw day, ranging from €10,000 to €100,000 
  • The intermediate tickets, ranging from €300 to €10,000
  • The last digits that, depending on the draw, range from €80 to €200

There is also the Free Renewal Benefit for the following version’s A’ draw for the players whose tickets did not win but have either an odd or even last digit (depending on the grand ticket’s last digit).  Other players whose tickets do not have the same last digit (odd or even) as the Grand Ticket’s last digit;  earn from 20€.

Draws

ETHNIKO (National) LOTTERY is released in 4 editions every year, each one of them lasting about 2.5 months. There are 184,000 unique numbers in each edition and each ticket represents a number.

​Each edition has 5 draws (A’, B’, C’, D’ & E’), each of which includes sub-draws (phases) in which one or more lucky numbers are drawn and awards at least 2 prizes of €10,000 or more per sub-draw. As the draws progress, the number of sub-draws increases, leading to the final E’ draw, which includes the most sub-draws and the €1,000,000 grand prize. 

The chances are increased, since thousands of numbers that win each time are excluded from the following draws, reaching the pinnacle of the game’s suspense. 

Renewals

If, after a draw, your number or the thousand to which you belong is not drawn, you continue playing the same number. You may buy the next draw’s ticket from your agent, no later than one day prior to the draw. The date of the following draw appears on the ticket, at the bottom of the Table of Winnings, as well as on the Draws & Results section.

Note: To join the game in the middle of an edition, you must purchase the value of the previous draws. For instance, if you buy a ticket worth €4 in draw C’, you need to pay for draws A’ and B’ as well, making the total cost €4 + €4 + €4= €12.

Are you a winner?

Gross winnings, prior tax application, up to €100 per ticket, may be paid by any HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A. point of sale or any street vendor, without displaying official documentation.

Gross winnings, prior tax application, between €100.01 and €999.99 per ticket may be paid by any OPAP S.A. retailer, operating as a HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A. point of sale.

For winnings between €1,000 and €1,999.99 per ticket, if the winner wishes to receive a profit certificate for tax purposes, the winnings are paid by a bank cooperating with  HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A., following the issuance of a payment order by any OPAP S.A. retailer, operating as a HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A. point of sale. 

Gross winnings, prior tax application, between €2,000 and €10,000 per ticket are paid by a bank cooperating with  HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A., following the issuance of a payment order by any OPAP S.A. retailer, operating as a HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A. point of sale. 

Gross winnings, prior tax application, between €10,000.01 and €49,000.99 per ticket are paid by a bank cooperating with HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A., following the issuance of a payment order by HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A. offices at Athens or Thessaloniki. 

Gross winnings, prior tax application, over €50,000  per ticket are paid by a bank cooperating with HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A., following the issuance of a payment order by HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A. at Athens.
